Picnics

The students of Stds. VI-VIII of Springfield School went for a picnic to Sunrise Resort on the 13th October, 2018 and Stds.IX-XII on 26th October, 2018.

Adventure sports like rope climbing, tyre stepladder, rope bridge, balancing poles along with camel ride, cart ride, horse riding, Rajasthani dance performance, magic show, mirror maze and splash pool were the highlights of the day.

After a fun packed day, the kids were served delicious lunch and ice-cream.

Trip to Jim Corbett National Park

“Learning can be fun and exciting, but it doesn’t always happen in the classroom”. Excursions are an important and effective means of motivating students and engaging them in active learning experiences. Keeping this in mind, a trip to Jim Corbett National Park was organised. A group of 50 students including three teachers went for this trip. During this trip, the students explored the nature and its wide variety of flora and fauna.

This trip not only gave the students an overwhelming and priceless experience but also developed in them a deep sense of responsibility towards the environment.

Visit to B.Lal Institute of Biotechnology

The biology students of Std.XI and XII visited the B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology on the 8th January, 2019 . The children had a hands on experience on DNA extraction from Ecoli bacteria. Career guidance was given to expose the children to the fields of biotechnology, forensic sciences, molecular biology, biomedical sciences, genomics etc.

Times of India Visit (Movie Show)

NIE, an initiative of the Times of India, had organised a visit to Golcha for a film show for the students of Springfield School. The students of Stds. VII & VIII, Stds. IV & VI & Stds. V, IX, XI went on 12th February, 13th February & 14th February 2019 respectively.

The students were shown the newly released animated movie ‘Spiderman – Into the spide-verse’ at Golcha Cineplex. The children enjoyed the movie a lot.
